What is HyperBac Online and what does it do?

HyperBac Online closes the loop on the data compression equation. Whilst HyperBac for your database gave you the facility to compress backups and archives, HyperBac Online shifts the paradigm and allows you to run your database as a compressed entity.

Therefore you now have the ability to compress offline or backup data as well as online or live data.

This is not where HyperBac Online stops. The solution broadens the HyperBac proposition into the greater storage market, allowing you to compress not only your databases, but also your virtual server instances, such as VMware and MS Virtual Server.

How does HyperBac Online deliver its compression and savings to me?

HyperBac Online follows the same architecture framework as per the existing HyperBac solutions. That is, the solution has a small footprint, works outside of the application whose data is being compressed.

It follows the same overriding principles of all HyperBac products, that is that they are rapidly installed, simply configured and once set, they do not require any ongoing management.
